Open-source software developed by the lab. Everything below lives in our GitHub organization.

Cairn

Cairn is a working method for scientists developing research software with AI coding agents. It gives teams a shared way to shape substantial changes through proposals, review, testing, and recorded decisions, keeping context alongside the code. Cairn works across agent tools and programming languages, and can be used as written guidance or installed with its supporting tools.

Assai

Assai is an open-source framework in development for persistent AI research labs. It is designed to bring together agents from different model families to investigate scientific questions using real data and models, test competing explanations, and produce work that can be reviewed and reproduced. Its durable, source-linked research record will preserve questions, evidence, failures, and corrections—helping human scientists find promising leads to pursue.

SENSEflux

The Spatially Explicit Nutrient Source Estimate and Flux model uses a GIS and mass-balance approach to simulate nutrient fate and transport from point and nonpoint sources across the landscape, through rivers, to lakes and wetlands. It has four components: nutrient applications, in situ losses, basin attenuation through surface and subsurface pathways, and stream and lake attenuation.
